For the thousands of New Yorkers who transfer trains via the Lorimer St. L and Metropolitan Ave G trains every day, you’ve undoubtedly noticed the new addition to the subway stop, The Newsstand. Curated especially for ALLDAYEVERYDAY, gone are the US Weekly’s, Diet Cokes and Bic lighters of traditional subway bodegas, as The Newsstand offers commuters a selection of independent magazines, zines, books, and branded accessories. Last Friday evening, we checked out The Newsstand, which ebbed and flowed with traffic with each arriving L and G train. Here’s a look inside:
